Jarrett’s goal lifts Polk JVs to victory at East Henderson

Joshua Jarrett supplied the goal and Polk County’s defense made it stand Monday as the Wolverines earned a 1-0 JV boys soccer victory at East Henderson.

Jarrett proved a constant problem for the East Henderson defense throughout the match and eventually found the net for the game’s only goal.

Polk County goalkeeper Jasper Matthews turned in a solid performance to preserve the shutout, and Ryan Blomeley delivered perhaps the key defensive play of the second half, clearing an East Henderson shot off the goal line to keep the Wolverines in front.

The victory improved Polk County to 1-1-1 on the season. The Wolverines return home Wednesday to face Patton.
