Topher Pearson had three assists in Monday's win

Polk County Middle rolled to a 6-1 win Monday over Rugby Middle in Blue Ridge Conference boys soccer action in Mills River.

Keaundrae Green scored on a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes, both on assists from Topher Pearson, to give Polk a 2-0 lead. Rugby scored moments later to cut the lead in half, but the Wolverines got a goal from Thomas Varnadore in the 20th minute to make it 3-1 at the half.

Eno Baker tallied two minutes into the second half for Polk, then Green clinched a hat trick with his goal in the 47th minute, that coming off a punt from Polk goalkeeper Cade Bright.

Tanner Osborn capped the scoring in the 57th minute, scoring off a Blake Anderson corner kick.

Polk Middle (5-2) returns home Monday to face Apple Valley at 4:30 p.m.
