Flat Rock tallied once early in each half Monday to hand Polk County Middle a 2-0 setback in Blue Ridge Conference boys soccer action at Utz Field.

The Eagles (5-0) scored in the 14th minute of the first half, then added a second goal early in the second half for the 2-0 advantage.

Polk Middle (2-2-1) created some scoring opportunities in the final 15 minutes, but could never find the back of the net.

The Wolverines return to Utz Field on Wednesday, hosting Brevard Middle in a 4:30 p.m. match.
