Apple Valley notched the afternoon’s lone goal Tuesday to hand Polk County Middle a 1-0 loss in Blue Ridge Conference boys soccer action in Hendersonville.
The Wolverines dropped to 1-1-1 with the defeat.
The Knights scored in the final five minutes of the match to secure the win.

“We had a tough time handling their forwards, but when we attacked we created good enough opportunities,” said PCMS head coach Lennox Charles. “We just did not convert on our good opportunities and they did on one of theirs.”
Polk Middle returns home Wednesday to host Hendersonville Middle in a 4:30 p.m. match at Utz Field.
