Wolverines fall to Rockets despite Gary’s record night

Despite a school-record eight 3-pointers from Amir Gary, Polk County still dropped an 84-62 decision Monday to A.C. Reynolds in boys basketball action in Fairview.

Gary’s eight 3-pointers, part of a 29-point night, broke the school record of seven set by Larry Fagan in the 1991-92 season and matched by Matt McCallister during the 2000-01 season.

Clark Phipps added 18 points, with Dominique Carson scoring nine, Wesley Royster scoring four and Kiyon Staley adding two.
