Polk County’s Most Outstanding Player for 2019-2020, Dominique Carson

Wolverines celebrate boys basketball award winners, offseason efforts

The arrival of the global coronavirus pandemic kept Polk County’s boys basketball program from holding its year-end awards banquet.

But that didn’t keep head coach Lemont Jones from honoring those players. And the team has stayed in touch while school campuses have been closed via online workouts and reading and commenting on motivation readings.

Players involved in the workouts and readings each received a special T-shirt to signify their participation.

Award winners included:

Most Improved Player: Keyandre Thomas. Also received Most Proficient Player of the Year, Blue-White Award and was named All-Conference.
