
Polk County’s Most Outstanding Player for 2019-2020, Dominique Carson
Wolverines celebrate boys basketball award winners, offseason efforts
The arrival of the global coronavirus pandemic kept Polk County’s boys basketball program from holding its year-end awards banquet.
But that didn’t keep head coach Lemont Jones from honoring those players. And the team has stayed in touch while school campuses have been closed via online workouts and reading and commenting on motivation readings.
Players involved in the workouts and readings each received a special T-shirt to signify their participation.
Award winners included:
Varsity
Most Outstanding Player: Dominique Carson. Also received Blue-White Award and was named All-Conference and All-Area
Most Improved Player: Keyandre Thomas. Also received Most Proficient Player of the Year, Blue-White Award and was named All-Conference.
Mr. Wolverine Award: Bryson Edwards
Coaches Award: Tyler Staley
Geoff Tennant Leadership Award: Wesley Royster. Also received Blue-White Award.
Blue-White Award: Brandon West

Player of the Year: Kris Littlejohn
