Wolverine JVs fall to Madison

Madison’s junior varsity boys handed Polk County a 48-25 setback Thursday in a Western Highlands Conference meeting at Polk.

The Patriots took command in the first half, building a 19-9 lead at intermission, and kept the Wolverines (3-13, 0-6) at bay in the final two quarters.

Kanye Staley had seven points and seven rebounds, with Sabian Schaeffer adding six points. Kris Littlejohn had four points, with Mackus Simpson scoring three.

Amner Contreras and Vincent Twitty each had two points, with Twitty grabbing five rebounds, and William Simpson had a point and six rebounds.

Polk County begins a three-game road trip on Tuesday, traveling to Owen.
