Wolverine comeback falls just short in setback at Chase

Chase survived a frantic Polk County comeback on Monday to hand the Wolverines a 64-60 setback in Forest City.

The Trojans (3-2) built a 48-32 lead entering the final quarter, but the Wolverines (2-6) poured in 28 points in the period in nearly rallying for the victory.

Dominique Carson had 26 points to lead Polk County, with Keyandre Thomas scoring 10 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Wesley Royster had eight points, with Brett Bagwell scoring seven.

Tyler Staley had five points, with Omar Carson and Bryson Edwards each scoring two.

Polk County wraps up its pre-Christmas schedule on Tuesday, traveling to East Henderson.
