Winter weather has forced a delay in the start of the Western Highlands Conference basketball tournament.
Originally slated to begin on Monday, the opening round of the WHC tourney is now set for Tuesday. The Polk County boys will open the tourney at Mountain Heritage while the Polk girls are slated to play at Avery. Both games are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
The semifinals and finals of the tournament are slated to be played Thursday and Friday at Avery.
