An Apple Valley team that seemingly couldn’t miss handed Polk County Middle a 61-32 setback Thursday in Blue Ridge Conference boys basketball action in Hendersonville.
The Knights raced to a 31-15 halftime lead and continued to connect in the final two quarters, hitting six 3-pointers as part of the barrage.
Gunnar Alm and Wyatt Cooley each had six points for Polk Middle, with Antonio Simpson amd Avery Harden adding five. The Wolverines also got two points each from Lawson Carter, Dayvion Stinson, Isaiah Spears, Keuandrae Green and Wayne Carson.
Polk Middle (1-1) hosts Hendersonville Middle on Monday in its next action.
