Polk Middle boys, girls basketball teams roll past Brevard Middle

Arnie Twitty scored 18 points and DJ Twitty added 13 Tuesday as Polk County Middle School rolled past Brevard Middle 59-38 in Blue Ridge Middle School Conference action at Brevard.

Holden Owens added eight points for Polk, who improved to 2-0 with the win.

In girls play, Autumn Owen scored 16 points and Miranda Gosnell had 13 to lead Polk County, also now 2-0, to a 42-22 victory.

Both teams return to action Thursday at Rugby Middle School.
