Polk County Middle School’s boys basketball team wrapped up an undefeated regular season Thursday with a convincing 70-28 win at Bethel Middle School.
The Wolverines closed a 12-0 season with the easy win in Blue Ridge Middle School Conference play one day after rolling past Flat Rock, 48-17.
Against Flat Rock, Arnie Twitty scored 10 points to lead the Polk boys. At Bethel, Twitty had 15 points, with Jaylon Bontrager scoring 14, Dillion Overholt 13 and Holden Owens 10.

The PCMS girls finished their season with an 11-1 record after sweeping Flat Rock and Bethel.
On Wednesday, Autumn Owen scored 13 points to lead Polk Middle to a 33-16 win at Flat Rock. On Thursday, Owen scored 15 and Bella Marino added 11 as Polk Middle earned a 36-26 win.
Both teams will compete in the Blue Ridge Conference tournament beginning on Monday.
