Polk JVs stymied late in loss at R-S Central

Polk County’s junior varsity boys opened the 2025 portion of their schedule Tuesday with a 56-29 setback at R-S Central.

The Wolverines (0-9) trailed just 20-16 at halftime, but the Hilltopper defense stiffened in the second half, allowing Polk just 13 points in the final two quarters.

R-S Central hit eight of its 10 3-pointers during the second half to help pull away for the win.

Keyan Simpson had eight points to lead Polk County, with Nate Fagan scoring seven and Luke Garrison and Tae Gary each adding six. Ross Dow had two points for the Wolverines.

Polk County will return to action next Tuesday, traveling to Chase.
