Polk JVs romp past Owen in WHC debut

Polk County’s junior varsity stayed unbeaten Monday, downing Owen 31-16 in Western Highlands Conference action in Swannanoa.

The Wolverines improved to 2-0, 1-0 in conference play. Polk County hosts Madison on Wednesday in another WHC clash.

Antonio Simpson scored eight points and Lawson Carter added seven to lead Polk County. Avery Harden and Mackus Simpson each had five points, with William Simpson, Wayne Carson and Landen Bradley each scoring two.
