
Polk County’s junior varsity boys squad earned its second win in two nights, rolling Wednesday to a 55-25 win over Madison in a non-conference game at Polk.
The Wolverines improved to 3-7 with the win. Madison dropped to 0-10.
How it happened: After a slow start, Polk County began to pick up steam in the second period, building a 27-17 lead at halftime.
The Wolverines then dominated the final two quarters, holding the Patriots to just eight points in the second half while steadily expanding the lead.
Scoring: Avery Hensley had 16 points to pace Polk, with Khristian Littlejohn adding 12.
Nolan Simpson, Carmello Young and Karlen McEntyre each had five points, with Cooper Rhodes, Andrew Nance and Lorenzo Sanchez each scoring four. Jonathan Collier finished with two points.
Next up: Polk County travels Friday to Owen for another non-conference matchup.
