Polk County’s junior varsity boys earned their first win of the season on Tuesday, holding off East Henderson 32-30 in a non-conference matchup at Polk.
The Wolverines (1-5) built a 21-13 at halftime, only to see the Eagles rally late.
Kiyon Staley scored eight points to lead Polk County, with Tyler Staley adding six. Wesley Royster added five points, with Keyandre Thomas and Bryson Edwards each scoring four.

Grant Waddell and Brett Bagwell each had two points and Shane Parris finished with one for the Wolverines.
Polk County is in action on Wednesday at North Buncombe.
