Polk JV boys end season on winning note at Avery

Polk County’s junior varsity boys basketball team closed its season on Tuesday with a win, defeating Avery 45-43 in Newland.

Three Wolverines finished the game in double figures – Kanye Staley and Mackus Simpson each with 12 points and Kris Littlejohn with 10. Littlejohn also had six rebounds.

Brandon West added six points and nine rebounds, with Vincent Twitty and Briar Underwood each scoring two points.

Sabian Schaeffer added one point for Polk, which concludes its season with a 4-16 record, 1-9 in Western Highlands Conference play.
