Polk girls, boys open WHC tourney play at Mitchell

Polk County’s boys and girls will travel Monday to Mitchell for the opening round of the Western Highlands Conference basketball tournament.

Both Wolverine teams enter the tournament as the sixth seed, with both Mitchell teams seeded third.

The girls game will begin at 6 p.m., with the boys game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

The winner of the girls game will face Owen on Thursday while the boys winner will meet Avery.
