Clark Phipps scored 17 points Thursday as Polk County Middle School took a 37-31 win over Apple Valley in Blue Ridge Middle School Conference action at Polk.
Amir Gary added six points for the Wolverines, who improved to 3-7 with the win heading into the final week of regular-season play.
