Polk County will welcome faces new and old to its gym as part of its 2022-23 basketball schedule.

The Wolverines will open regular-season play Nov. 18 at Owen before returning home on Nov. 29 to face Piedmont Community Charter.

Polk welcomes a new addition to its schedule on Dec. 1 in North Carolina School of Science and Math, then travels Dec. 2 to Landrum in the resumption of the series between the two neighboring schools. Landrum visits Polk County on Dec. 15.

The schedule also includes a Jan. 7 road trip for Polk County’s boys to Veritas Christian Academy as well as a full Mountain Foothills 7 schedule.

Junior varsity play will begin at 5 p.m., with varsity girls set to start around 6 p.m. and varsity boys to follow around 7:30 p.m.
