Owen pulled away in the second half Tuesday to hand Polk County a 52-38 setback in a Western Highlands Conference boys junior varsity matchup at Polk.

The Warhorses led by seven at the half, then extended the lead in the final half to secure the win.

Shaq Wingo led Polk County (8-7) with 11 points, with Ben Hardin adding nine and Bryson Edwards adding eight points and five rebounds.

Davin Hines had seven points, with Nate Henderson scoring two points and grabbing seven rebounds.

Nate Mann added a point for the Wolverines, who travel Friday to Avery in another WHC battle.
