Asheville Christian pulled away Monday for a 54-28 victory over Polk County Middle in boys basketball action in Swannanoa.

The Lions led 10-8 at the end of the first quarter, but held Polk Middle to four points in the second while building a 23-12 halftime lead. ACA steadily grew the margin in the second half to seal the win.

Antonio Simpson scored eight points to lead Polk Middle, with Cole Pereira scoring six. Gunner Alm finished with four, with Lawson Carter and Wyatt Cooley each adding three.

Elijah Barnes and Mackus Simpson each had one for Polk Middle.
