Madison’s Riley Allen scored in the final seconds to lift the Patriots to a 63-61 victory over Polk County in Tuesday’s Western Highlands Conference boys basketball action in Marshall.
Polk County trailed 61-60 with 30 seconds remaining when Khristian Littlejohn hit a free throw to tie the score. Allen then scored in the closing seconds, and the Wolverines couldn’t get the tying shot to fall.
Aaron Jackson and Khalil Austin each led Polk County (2-10, 0-3 WHC) with 20 points. Littlejohn added 17, and Ross Dow and Blake Anderson each finished with two.

Madison improved to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Polk County hosts R-S Central on Thursday in a non-conference game.
