Aaron Jackson wasted no time Friday in achieving a bit of Polk County history.
Jackson entered the Wolverines’ non-conference matchup with Bessemer City needing just 11 points to reach 1,000 for his career. He took care of that in the first quarter, his rebound and putback late in the period putting him exactly on the mark.
The Polk County senior becomes the fifth Wolverine male player to reach 1,000 points. He is the first to reach the total since Dominique Carson did so in the 2021-22 season.
