Hendersonville used a dominant third quarter to pull away for a 77-50 victory over Polk County in Tuesday’s Western Highlands Conference boys basketball action in Hendersonville.
The Bearcats (15-5, 8-1 WHC) outscored the Wolverines 30-13 in the third quarter, with Jordan Wynn scoring 12 points, Mateo Archer adding seven and JaRon Ward contributing six during the decisive period.
Polk County (3-19, 0-10 WHC) led 16-10 after the first quarter before Hendersonville evened the score at 24-24 at the half.

Khalil Austin led the Wolverines with 17 points. Aaron Jackson added nine, Ross Dow scored six, Nolan Simpson finished with five, Nate Fagan and Khristian Littlejohn each had four, Chase Stansbury scored three and Brady Carroll added two.
Polk County will host Mitchell on Thursday for Senior Night.
