Cougar JV boys pull away to defeat Wolverines

Mountain Heritage raced to a 32-10 halftime lead Monday en route to a 59-22 victory over Polk County in junior varsity boys basketball play in Burnsville.

Polk County dropped to 3-16, 0-9 in Western Highlands Conference play. The Wolverines wrap up their season on Tuesday at Avery.

Kris Littlejohn had seven points, with Mackus Simpson scoring five. William Simpson had four points, with Brandon West scoring four points with five rebounds.

Vincent Twitty added two points for Polk County.
