Chase fought back from an early deficit Monday and went on to top Polk County 50-39 in junior varsity boys basketball action in Forest City.
The Wolverines (1-6) led 14-8 at the end of the first quarter, but Chase rallied to take a 21-19 lead at the half, then pulled away over the final two periods for the final margin.
Kanye Staley had 13 points and seven rebounds to lead Polk, with Kris Littlejohn scoring 12 points. Mackus Simpson had seven points and Vincent Twitty had five points and six rebounds.
Amner Contreras added two points for the Wolverines, who travel Tuesday to East Henderson.
