Wolverines take fifth at Mimosa Hills

Polk County placed fifth Tuesday in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference golf match held at Mimosa Hills Golf Club.

The Wolverines posted a team score of 376 on the Mimosa course. Hendersonville won the match with a score of 332, with East Rutherford following at 343 and R-S Central in third at 353.

Polk County’s Avery Harden finished third overall, posting a 76 to finish a stroke behind Hendersonville’s Hunter Toney and East Rutherford’s Jacob Holland. Harden did move into the conference lead for season-long low score, four strokes ahead of Toney.

Polk’s Tourin Jackson had a 96, with Myles Menetre posting a 97. Piercen Edwards added a 107 to round out the team scoring, with Addie Buss finishing at 121.

The Wolverines are scheduled to return to competition on Wednesday, traveling to Grassy Creek Golf & Country Club for a dual match with Mitchell.
