Polk Middle golfers tee off against Hendersonville, Apple Valley in tri-match

Polk County Middle’s golfers took third place Tuesday in a tri-match at Meadowbrook Golf Club.

The Wolverines encountered stiff competition as twins Rutledge and Bale Pace each fired nine-hole scores of 43 to lead Hendersonville Middle to a team total of 185.

Apple Valley followed with a 231, with Polk Middle posting a 244.

David Amitrano led the Wolverines with a personal-best 58, followed by Addie Buss (60) and Brockton and Braedyn Davis, who each carded 63s.

Polk Middle is slated to return to the links on Monday, taking part in a tri-match with Flat Rock Middle and Rugby Middle at Etowah Valley Golf Club.
