Polk Middle golfers take top honors in tri-match

Owen Justice shot a 40 to lead Polk County Middle to the team title at Thursday’s Blue Ridge Conference golf match at Meadowbrook Golf Club.

The Wolverines finished with a team score of 195, edging Rugby Middle (202) and Flat Rock Middle (225).

Rugby’s Graham Hall was medalist with a 38.

Waylon Hill shot 44 for Polk County Middle, followed by Austin Love (54), Ethan Dotson (57) and Sam McKee (62).

The Wolverines are slated to return to Meadowbrook on Thursday for a four-team match with Flat Rock, Apple Valley and Hendersonville.
