Polk Middle golfers snare second in season opener

Polk County Middle opened its 2024 golf season on Monday, taking second in a three-team match held at Chestnut Mountain Golf Club.

Led by medalist James Trace, Rugby took top team honors with a score of 201. Polk Middle followed with a 221, with Hendersonville Middle carding a 228.

Brody Wilkins led the Wolverines with a 49, with Owen Justice following with a 55.

Polk Middle is set to again be in action next Tuesday, taking part in a tri-match at Meadowbrook Golf Club.
