Polk Middle golfers net second at Meadowbrook

Polk County Middle notched a second-place effort Tuesday in a Blue Ridge Conference golf tri-match at Meadowbrook Country Club.

The Wolverines posted a team score of 214, finishing second to Rugby’s 187. The Raiders were led by medalist Duke Nitcher with a 39.

Hendersonville had a team score of 218 to take third.

The Wolverines are slated to be back in action on Wednesday, traveling to Orchard Trace Golf Club in Hendersonville for a match with Hendersonville, Rugby and Flat Rock.
