Polk golfers place second at Cherryville in season debut

Polk County opened its boys golf season on Monday with a second-place showing in a tri-match at Cherryville Golf and Country Club.

The Wolverines posted a score of 169, just four shots behind host Cherryville. Ashbrook finished with a team score of 181.

Evan Jones led Polk County with a 40 in the nine-hole round. Cherryville’s Jackson Tedder topped the field with a 34.
