Justice, Hill lead Polk Middle to one-shot win at TCC

In a tightly contested middle school golf match Tuesday at Tryon Country Club, Polk County Middle secured a narrow victory over Apple Valley Middle by just one stroke, 199-200.

The Wolverines were led by Owen Justice, who claimed medalist honors with a round of 43 on the par-36 layout. Adding crucial support to the winning effort was Waylon Hill, who posted a career-low score of 44.

The Wolverines will return to action Thursday when they participate in a Blue Ridge Conference tri-match at Meadowbrook Golf Club.
