Jackson’s 75 leads Polk at Hendersonville Country Club

Tourin Jackson shot a 75 to lead Polk County to a fifth-place finish at Wednesday’s Western Highlands Conference golf match at Hendersonville Country Club.

Hendersonville won the team title with a score of 311, followed by Avery (319), Mitchell (320), Madison (321), Polk County (325), Mountain Heritage (344) and Owen (379).

Avery’s Hank Johnson was medalist with a 72 on the par-70 course. Hendersonville’s Trey Trantham and Mountain Heritage’s Carson Anglin tied for second with 73s.

Jackson placed fifth overall for Polk County. Brody Wilkins and Piercen Edwards each shot 81, tying for 13th. Gage Harden posted an 88 and Tallis Metcalf shot 97.

Polk County returns to action Monday at Mountain Glen Golf Club in Newland.
