Polk County Middle’s Jonathan Edwards and Shane Parris teamed on a three-hitter and the Wolverines took advantage of Macon Middle’s wildness en route to an 11-3 win Wednesday in Franklin.
Edwards allowed three hits and struck out two in four innings and Parris added two innings of hitless relief as Polk Middle improved to 2-0.
Macon Middle pitchers issued 14 walks, and that helped the Wolverines score often and early. Polk scored two runs in the first on singles by Edwards, Nick Capozzi and Kalep Kropp, a walk to Jordan Bishop and a sacrifice fly by Isaac Medford.
