The Wolverines used a combination of walks, hit batters and a Mason Beiler single to pull within 10-6. Bryson Jones then laced a bases-loaded triple to make it 10-9, and Kendall McEntyre followed with a double to even the score.

McEntye moved to third on a wild pitch, then scored on Karson Scruggs’ base hit. A Beiler double made it 12-10, and Shatter Johnson’s base hit made it 13-10.

Beiler finished 2-for-3 with two RBI, with McEntyre also 2-for-3 with two RBI. Jones was 1-for-3 with three RBI. Karlen McEntyre, Cohen Edwards, Scruggs and Johnson each had one hit.

Edwards earned the win, pitching two and a third innings of relief, allowing three hits and no runs.

Polk County is slated to be back in action on Thursday, hosting Landrum.
