Four Polk County soccer players have been named to the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association 2A all-region squad.

Seniors Ellese Cash, Lyric Flood and Kayla McEntire, along with sophomore Megan Clements, were chosen for the squad.

BRADY EARNS ALL-AREA HONOR: Polk County senior Wes Brady has been selected for the Times-News All-Area baseball squad.

Brady, a Lenoir-Rhyne signee, hit .463 with four home runs and 27 RBI this season. The All-Western Highlands Conference selection had a school-record 16-game hitting streak to close the season.
