Rosman offense powers past Polk County

Rosman scored seven runs in the first inning Monday and went on to post an 18-7 win over Polk County in non-conference baseball action at Polk.

The Tigers (13-3) built a 13-1 lead before Polk County (5-14) scored once in the bottom of the fourth and four runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Rosman added four runs in the top of the seventh, including back-to-back fly balls off the outfield fence, to seal the win.

J.D. Edwards and Tyler Harris each went 2-for-3 to lead the Wolverines.

Polk County returns to action on Friday, traveling to Swannanoa to face Owen in a Western Highlands Conference game at 6 p.m.
