R-S Central’s Coffey no-hits Polk JVs

R-S Central pitcher Harrison Coffey delivered a no-hit performance Friday as the Hilltoppers rolled to a 22-0 victory over Polk County in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference junior varsity baseball action at The Bottoms.

The game, which ended after four innings, saw R-S Central strike early and often. The Hilltoppers raced to an 5-0 lead after two innings before delivering decisive blows with eight runs in the third and a nine-run outburst in the fourth inning.

Polk County (0-3) will look to regroup and secure its first win of the season when they return to action on Wednesday, hosting Landrum for a non-conference matchup.
