Polk Middle falls to Brevard Middle no-hitter

Brevard Middle’s Nolan Elmore was nearly perfect Thursday, keeping Polk County Middle in check in a 12-0 victory in Blue Ridge Conference baseball action at Polk County Recreation Complex.

Elmore didn’t allow a hit and nearly had a perfect game in the four-inning outing, with Polk Middle’s only baserunner coming in the fourth inning when Callaway Cameron was hit by a pitch.

The Blue Devils (4-1) scored four runs in each of the first three innings to build a commanding 12-0 lead.

The Wolverines (0-5) will look to secure their first win of the season when they return to action on Tuesday, hosting Hendersonville Middle at 4:30 p.m. in another Blue Ridge Conference matchup at Polk County Recreation Complex.
