After falling behind 4-0 in the first inning, Polk County got on the scoreboard in the second when Jonathan Painter’s sacrifice fly brought home Callum Eadus, who had reached on a walk.
The Wolverines continued their comeback in the third inning. Whiteside singled and Meyer followed with a double. With one out, Simms Harris hit a grounder that resulted in an error, allowing Whiteside to cross the plate.
