Polk County’s Brady chosen for all-state baseball squad

Recent Polk County graduate Wes Brady has been named to the North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association 2A all-star squad.

Brady wrapped his stellar Polk County career with a solid senior season, hitting .463 with four homers and 27 RBI. Brady also scored 17 runs and had a slugging percentage of .806 while playing shortshop and pitching for the Wolverines. He signed a letter-of-intent in November to continue his baseball career at Lenoir-Rhyne.

Brady is the 11th Polk County player since 2000 to be named to the NCBCA all-state squad. The others:
