Polk County freshman Gunnar Alm has been named to the North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association Region 8 All-Region squad.
In his first season as a Wolverine, Alm hit a team-high .358 with 10 doubles, four home runs and 13 RBI. He scored 31 runs and stole 25 bases, posting a .506 on-base percentage. He earned Mountain Foothills 7 all-conference honors.
Alm has also been selected to represent Region 8 in the Bodyarmor State Games that begin Monday in Charlotte.
