Owens earns spot on 2A all-state baseball squad

Polk County rising senior Holden Owens has been named to the North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association 2A all-state squad.

Owens was one of 30 players named to the squad and the only Western Highlands Conference selection chosen.

Owens hit .475 this season, his 38 hits tying the school’s single-season record. He finished with 13 doubles, 19 RBI and scored 21 runs.
