East Henderson scored three runs in each of the final two innings to pull away from Polk County 10-4 in Saturday’s non-conference junior varsity baseball game at The Bottoms.
Polk County took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Brady Carroll tripled home Oakley Whiteside and later scored. The Wolverines maintained that advantage before East Henderson rallied with three runs in the third to take a 3-2 lead.
The teams traded runs over the next two innings. East Henderson added a run in the fourth to lead 4-3, then Polk County tied it in the bottom of the fourth when Asher Mullet singled home Whiteside.

East Henderson broke the tie with three runs in the fifth to take a 7-4 lead, then added three more in the sixth to put the game away.
Carroll led Polk County with two hits, including a triple and an RBI. Whiteside scored twice, while Mullet added a hit, RBI and run scored. Matthew Foy and Jarrett each contributed one hit.
Polk County (2-8) hosts Madison on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
East Henderson improved to 3-4.
