Hilltopper JVs hold Polk hitless in 13-0 triumph

R-S Central’s junior varsity held Polk County hitless Tuesday, taking a 13-0 victory over the Wolverines in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matchup at The Bottoms.

Polk County (4-4-1) had two baserunners in the five-inning game, with Daylon Bradley reaching via walk and Nick Sotomayer following with a ground ball that the Hilltoppers (10-3) misplayed.

But the Wolverines were unable to score in the inning and were retired in order during the final two innings.

The two teams are set to meet again Tuesday at R-S Central in Polk County’s final game before spring break.
