Brantley Hall went 4-for-4 with five runs scored and Callaway Cameron added three hits with four runs to lead Polk County Middle to a 16-10 victory over Hendersonville Middle in Thursday’s Blue Ridge Conference baseball battle in Hendersonville.
The Wolverines jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and extended the advantage to 11-1 through three innings before Hendersonville rallied.
Polk Middle scored twice in the first when Lawson Yoder singled home two runs. The Wolverines added four more in the second, highlighted by Carter Wood’s two-run single, then tacked on three in the third to build their 10-run cushion.

Hendersonville Middle (2-2-1) cut into the lead with four runs in the third and fifth innings before Polk Middle put the game away with three runs in the sixth. Cameron’s RBI double drove in Hall to make it 14-10, then Wesley Turner capped the scoring with a two-run single.
Hall added a double and stolen base in his 4-for-4 performance. Cameron went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, while Wood finished 1-for-4 with four RBI.
Yoder contributed two hits and three RBI while Oakley McDowell went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Turner added a hit and three RBI, Joshua Odel went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Noah Hammond had a hit and RBI and Ellis Searcy singled and scored a run.
Reece Turner earned the win on the mound.
Polk County Middle (4-5) hosts Apple Valley Middle on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
