Chan Barber had a base hit and two RBI in Friday's loss to East Henderson

East Henderson pitching held Polk County to just three hits Friday to set the stage for an 8-3 victory in Flat Rock.

Devin Walker and Brock Ramey teamed on the three-hitter as the Eagles improved to 4-0. Polk County dropped to 1-3.

The Wolverines did all of their offensive damage in the fourth inning. With two outs, Coble Cameron singled and Micah Hill drew a walk before Jackson Beiler laced a double to right, driving in Cameron and moving Hill to third.

Chan Barber followed with a single to score both runners and give Polk County a 3-1 advantage.

But East Henderson added a run in the bottom of the fourth, then took the lead with a four-run fifth before adding two insurance runs in the sixth.

Cameron took the loss, allowing four hits and six unearned runs in five innings. Jon Edwards allowed three hits and two earned runs in an inning of work.

Polk County is set to begin Western Highlands Conference play on Tuesday, hosting Madison.
