Polk County's Peyton Hoots prepares to make contact during a recent at-bat

Chase pitching checked Polk County on two hits for the second straight game, leading the Trojan junior varsity to a 12-0 win Wednesday at The Bottoms.

Chase upped its record to 6-1, with Polk County falling to 0-4.

How it happened: Chase only had three hits in the game, but took advantage of nine Polk County walks and two hit batsman to win the four-inning contest.

Blaine Turner and Nick Stribling had base hits for Polk, which also had two hits in Tuesday’s 14-0 loss to Chase.

Next up: Polk County will travel Tuesday to Hendersonville for another Mountain Foothills 7 Conference game.
